Otto Virtanen's serve carried him from junior trophies to a Top 5 upset
Otto Virtanen won the Orange Bowl singles title and Wimbledon boys' doubles title in 2018 before building his professional résumé through the Challenger Tour. His first five Challenger finals all became titles, beginning as a qualifier in Bergamo. The Finn's largest win arrived at 2026 Wimbledon: after qualifying, he saved a match point and defeated world No. 5 Ben Shelton in five sets, having saved 11 of 12 break points. Tennis runs through the family; his father Pasi and brother Panu both played professionally.
