Jessica Pegula has built her career on repeatable hard-court excellence rather than one short peak. The Buffalo-born right-hander reached world No. 3, won eleven WTA singles titles and finished three consecutive seasons inside the year-end top ten from 2022 through 2024. Her 2024 summer was exceptional: she won Toronto, finished runner-up in Cincinnati and reached her first Grand Slam final at the US Open, joining a short Open Era list to make all three finals in the same season. Jessica Pegula US Open record: 2024 runner-up and 2025 semifinalist

Pegula qualified for her first US Open main draw in 2015 and reached round two. Years later, New York became her strongest major stage. She made the 2022 quarterfinal, then defeated Iga Swiatek and rallied past Karolina Muchova in 2024 to reach her first Grand Slam final. Aryna Sabalenka won that title match in straight sets. Pegula returned to the semifinals in 2025 and again met Sabalenka, losing 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
