Erin Routliffe developed from an NCAA champion into doubles World No. 1
Erin Routliffe won two NCAA doubles championships with Maya Jansen at the University of Alabama before establishing a specialist career on the professional tour. The New Zealand representative earned her first WTA doubles title in Palermo in 2021 and reached World No. 1 for the first time in July 2024, spending eight weeks at the top. Her partnership with Gabriela Dabrowski produced two US Open titles, the 2024 Wimbledon final and the 2024 WTA Finals trophy. Routliffe had won 12 tour-level doubles titles by the end of 2025. At six feet two inches, she combines a naturally high contact point on serve with the reach required to close space at net.
