Rebecca Marino built a second career chapter around power and perspective
Rebecca Marino first reached No. 38 and a WTA final at Memphis in 2011, then stepped away from professional tennis in 2013. She returned in 2018 after nearly five years, won her first 18 matches and rebuilt from outside the rankings. The Canadian re-entered the Top 100 in 2022 after a decade-long absence and added the Midland WTA 125 title in 2024. At six feet tall, Marino identifies the serve and forehand as her best shots, hard court as her favorite surface and the US Open among her favorite tournaments.
