Moez Echargui chose a late-career move over a computer-science desk
At 29, Moez Echargui faced a choice between using his computer-science degree in a corporate job and moving from Tunisia to Italy to pursue tennis full time. He chose the MXP Academy and produced his best years after 30. Echargui won the 2024 African Games to earn a Paris Olympics place, then captured ATP Challenger titles in Porto and Saint-Tropez in 2025 and reached a career-high No. 134. His path began at 10, when he found a stray tennis ball while playing football in La Marsa.
