Henri Squire: Wake Forest development and a Challenger breakthrough
Henri Squire paired the American college route with a rapid move through professional qualifying. The Düsseldorf right-hander played for Wake Forest and was named 2021 ACC Freshman of the Year. He made his ATP debut as a Halle wildcard in 2022, then qualified for his first Grand Slam main draw at 2024 Roland Garros by beating Damir Dzumhur, Hugo Grenier and Andrea Vavassori. Squire also won his first Challenger title in Hamburg that year without dropping a set. At 1.96 metres, he brings a large serving platform to a résumé built across college, Challenger and major qualifying levels.
