Zhu Lin reached her career peak after a late-blooming 2023 breakthrough
Zhu Lin entered 2023 without a Top 10 win or tour title, then produced the best season of her career at 29. She defeated Maria Sakkari to reach the Australian Open fourth round, won her first WTA singles trophy in Hua Hin and later climbed to No. 31. An elbow injury interrupted her progress and her ranking fell as low as No. 493 in August 2025, but the Chinese player rebuilt quickly. She reached the Montreal fourth round and defeated World No. 6 Mirra Andreeva during a Ningbo quarterfinal run. Zhu's official profile describes an aggressive forehand-led game, while her results show substantial hard-court durability.
