Sumit Nagal won the 2015 Wimbledon boys' doubles title with Ly Hoang Nam, then built his senior career through the Challenger circuit. A fifth Challenger trophy in Chennai carried him into the Top 100 in 2024, and he reached a career-high No. 68 that July. The same season, Nagal beat Matteo Arnaldi as a qualifier in Monte Carlo to become the first Indian man to win an ATP Masters 1000 match on clay. He is five-foot-ten and succeeds through movement, return pressure and controlled groundstrokes rather than depending on free points from a towering serve.
