Stefano Travaglia returned from a severe hand injury to reach the Top 60
Stefano Travaglia lost a full season after falling through a glass window in 2011, severing an artery in his right wrist and requiring surgery. He returned without full feeling in the hand and ultimately reached a career-high No. 60. The Italian made his first ATP final at Melbourne in 2021 and reached the 2020 Roland Garros third round by defeating Kei Nishikori in five sets. Travaglia prefers clay and names the forehand as his favorite shot, but three successful US Open qualifying campaigns show that his first-strike tennis has also worked on New York hard courts.
