Julie Struplova: a Czech clay specialist climbing through a productive 2026 season
Julie Struplova has developed primarily on European clay, the surface she identifies as her favorite. The Czech right-hander began 2026 outside the top 300 but used a winning record and deeper ITF runs to reach a career-high No. 207 in July. She also entered WTA 125 fields in Brescia and Targu Mures, valuable exposure above her usual circuit level even before a breakthrough win there. Struplova's trajectory is still that of a developing professional: steady ranking gains, repeated clay matches and a first opportunity to measure those improvements inside a Grand Slam qualifying field.
