Jodie Burrage: a Nottingham finalist rebuilding after repeated injury interruptions
Jodie Burrage reached her career-high No. 85 after a landmark 2023 season. She made the Nottingham final in the first all-British WTA title match in 46 years, entered the top 100 and won the Cluj-Napoca doubles title with Jil Teichmann. The London right-hander lists grass as her favorite surface and the down-the-line backhand as her favorite shot. Injury has repeatedly interrupted the progress: Burrage missed roughly six months in 2024, returned to make her first Australian Open match win in 2025 and again spent much of early 2026 working back toward regular competition.
