Guy Den Ouden: Dutch clay preference shaped by college and ITF routes
Guy Den Ouden came through the Dutch junior system, reaching the 2020 Roland Garros boys' singles semifinals after beating second seed Arthur Cazaux. He then spent time in college tennis at Pepperdine before building his professional ranking through ITF events. Den Ouden won four ITF singles titles in 2021 and later claimed a larger title in Dobrich in 2024, helping him reach a career-high No. 147 in 2025. ITF lists clay as his preferred surface, while his recent schedule has increasingly included Challenger and Grand Slam qualifying events.
